Well, here is the second installment of the Srirangapatna snaps...
I took another chance to take the same scene, with another camera, with a different field of view...
Inside one of the temples... I was wondering if the pujari will object to my wielding a camera... it was too small to be noticed ;-)
We came late in the morning and lost all the morning colors to the harsh sunlight... no wonder these snaps look colourless...
Then we sat with feet in the water... those are my mom's feet...
And back at the parking lot... hey, who moved the cycle??

pretty pics...
O, i love the 2nd one..
"window to the world" kinda feeling..
The name Srirangapatna always reminded me of blastin canons! (You can blame 'The sword of Tipu Sultan' for that!!) This looks so tranquil!
The drunken cycle in the parking lot looks really sloshed! Fabulous pic!
sri is such a historic place and when i visited the fort, i was aghast. squalor, congestion etc etc and i wondered how much we have lost. the paintings were a consolation.
Thanks alice!
@aparna: Hmmm...
@everyman: drunken cycle! Lol!
@bem: yeah, i never go that side...
i still remember looking at tipu's battle gear with awe...
I love the pic which shows the feet of ur mom.. I don't know why.. I just think it's unique.
hello...very evocative pictures. The next time you are at Srirangapatna, try and visit this old colonial home now with an sweet old Belgian lady, and its located right beside a most enticing bend along the river. The house and the wild compound are equally 'photogenic'. Also this place called Gendehosalli some 10 km away..:-)...keep shooting!
