The Prelude to a Siesta


It was a hot summer afternoon. After a heavy lunch consisting of mountains of rice, along with delicious curries, pickles, and curd, the serotonin was too much to handle. Sleep was inevitable. The cool ceramic tiled floor and a colorful straw mat suddenly looked very inviting. The ceiling fan above sent soothing gusts making the curtain across the balcony entrance wave gracefully, creating intermittent brightness and semi-darkness... this was same the day I took this snap
